What to expect from the guild:

We are a casual raiding guild... that tries not to raid casually. What that means is we are making a serious effort to progress, but we want to get along with the people we play with. Meaning that being able to interact socially is as important as being able to play your character. You may be able to solo Illidan but if you are unable to play for 20 minutes without ruining another player's day we will not be interested in you. We are not really a leveling guild although some members have lower level alts that occasionally run low level instances. We do allow low level characters to join, but do not expect a lot of run-throughs. Our core members are 30+ years of age.

"How do I get started raiding?"

Have the necessary mods installed (see below). Sign up via the guild calendar in game. Read up a little or talk to guild members about how to optimize your character. 2 sites we suggest are http://be.imba.hu/ & http://wow-heroes.com/. We would greatly appreciate it if new tanks and healers try to team up to help other guild members through 5 man runs to get themselves and others geared. If there is a specific drop you are trying to achieve, try setting the instance in the guild calendar yourself.

Raiding Info:

1. Raid Times: Raids are scheduled to start at the given time.. that means if it's scheduled at 6:15 pm server then the 1st pull should be done no later than that. It does not mean that people should log on at 6:15 and start getting ready. Keep in mind that it is not just you on the run... when you ask us to wait you are holding up 9 -24 other people who are ready to go at the meeting stone.

2. Ventrilo: Ventrilo is required for raids due to the complexity of certain fights; it is just not desired to type out what everyone is suppose to be doing. Also if something needs to happen quickly, typing is again not the best way. It is necessary to have a microphone installed for several reasons. First and foremost you can call out if something happens unexpected during a fight (trap breaks, you die, LOS from target, etc) Second, using the microphone will allow us to get to know you better. Text is only so effective in conveying a person's personality. Third, quite often group arrangements are created over ventrilo that may not be referenced in guild chat. The inability of someone to communicate effectively and quickly has been the cause of some wipes, meaning that 10-25 people are held up for 15 minutes while the raid recovers. Finally, and once again YES we pay more attention to vent than guild chat. Investing in a microphone and saying hello once in a while will make your integration into the group much easier.

3. Raid spots: Determined by

A Sign ups; Please sign up for events!

B. Time of sign up; If it happens where we have too many on a given night, the time you signed up will be taken into account on whether your spot is saved. Again, we reserve the right to take whoever we want / need for the raid.

C. Ability to communicate over ventrilo: If you are unable to speak over a microphone during the raid you may be bumped for someone who can. Communication is crucial.

D. Meeting of gear requirements. You must must must have a rating of 400 on http://be.imba.hu for wrath raid encounters. We have experimented with exceptions and it has caused numerous wipes, meaning wasted play time and exhausted/frustrated players. This is easily obtainable through conquest badges.

E. Group make up: A group of nine DPS and one healer will not be very successful unless they vastly overgear the encounter. Tanks and healers will be required and filled first, sometimes at the cost of someone who was signed up eariler

4. Supplies: Bring your own supplies! We do pay attention to minor details such as if people are using pots, have food buffs, enchants on gear, GEMS socketed, etc. Everyone should be prepared fully before each raid begins.

5. Loot: **Under discussion currently**

6. Addons:

Required to have installed and updated:
1. Decursive: If you can dispel, decurse, purify, cleanse, etc. you need to have this installed.
2. Threat Meter: We suggest you use Omen, however there are others that are compatible.
3. Deadly Boss Mods

We suggest making use of the curse client application.

General Guild Info:

1. Recruitment: If you are asked about joining our guild, you can refer the requester to this website (apply to guild button on the left hand side). If you know the person, ask them to list you as a referral.

** Under Revision** 2. Promotion: New Guild invites will remain as Initiates until they have completed the application process on the website. They will then be promoted to New member. Promtion to "Spartan" will be done after it is verified that you exceed a 300 gear score on the Be Imba Website. Raiders are simply part of our core members who know the ends and outs of the raids. Promotion to veteran will be at the discretion of the officers once the member has been with the guild for some time and has inteacted with guild members on runs/raids/quests. Class officer is reservered for those who demonstrate good knowledge of a class as well as the ablity to impart that knowledge. Raid leaders will be responsible for the raids themselves and dictate kill order, strategy, etc. They will be expected to know how mutliple classes work. They will also be required to display good communication skills and be aware of the group's situation and positioning at all times during a raid. ** Under Revision**

4. Creating events: Only Raid leaders or above should schedule raids. Any guild member can schedule a quest or dungeon run. As more people make use of the system, more people are likely to sign up on your event.
